The Happy Plate is a cafe in Wagle Estate offering fresh, vegetarian Italian food for everyday meals and special occasions. Italian is one of the most loved cuisines in India, yet vegetarian families often have to ask careful questions before they can enjoy it. Is the pasta made with egg? Is the cheese vegetarian? Is the stock meat-based?
The Happy Plate was started to take those questions away. Every dish is fully vegetarian and egg-free, cooked fresh, and priced so that a student, a colleague on a lunch break, and a family of four all feel welcome.
We wanted a place you can walk into for a quick weekday lunch and just as easily stay on for a long Sunday dinner.

Made fresh every day
Pizza dough is prepared each morning and stretched by hand, so the base stays light and crisp.
Sauces
Cooked from scratch
Tomato, white and pesto sauces are simmered in our own kitchen, using vegetable stock only.
Service
Cooked when you order
Pasta and pizzas go into the pan and oven after you order, so they reach your table hot.

A friendly corner, fair prices and no one hurrying you out. Our student hours run from 3 to 6 pm.

Plates that arrive fast, tables that are clean and easy UPI payment, so lunch fits into an hour.
Families
Kids’ plates, high chairs, roomy tables and Jain options, for dinners where everyone eats well.

Pasta, dressings and desserts are all made eggless.

Desserts such as panna cotta are set with agar-agar.

We use cheese made with vegetarian rennet.

With over 10 years of experience in Italian kitchens, Marco brings a love for fresh ingredients and comforting flavours to The Happy Table. He believes great food doesn’t need to be complicated — it just needs to be made properly.
Riya Mehta
Founder
Riya started The Happy Table with a simple idea: create a warm, welcoming place where people can enjoy really good vegetarian food together. Her love for Italian cuisine inspired the menu and the restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere.
